1509.3 (B) Three-Dimensional Visual Arts Works 1509.3 (B) (1) Identifying Material Required
When registering statues, carvings, ceramics, moldings, constructions, models, maquettes, dolls, toys, stuffed animals, puppets, or other three-dimensional sculptural works, the applicant generally must submit identifying material instead of submitting an actual copy of the work, regardless of whether the work is published or unpublished. 37

Likewise, the applicant generally must submit identifying material instead of submitting an actual copy of the work when registering jewelry or when registering any three-dimensional work that is embodied in a useful article.
